Kiko Kostadinov Pleated Shirt
From Bulgarian-born, London-based designer Kiko Kostadinov’s fourth season (entitled “Funny How Secrets Travel”, spring/summer 2018) for his namesake label, this maroon over-shirt possesses expanding parallel pleats from under the arm, extending down to the side body.
Made from Loro Piano’s water-resistant Rain System Light Frame fabric, the back of this hybrid shirt-jacket (note: the blind-stitching on the cuffs) consists of discreet, curved paneling.
Kiko Kostadinov, who has previously assisted Nicola Formichetti (Lady Gaga, Diesel), is a Central Saint Martins graduate who collaborated with Stüssy for four collections before completing his MA. He also maintains an ongoing collaboration with gel running shoe brand Asics.
In 2016, he was awarded support from the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN MEN – with Craig Green in his cohort.
