Evisu Kyoto Tiger Souvenir Denim Jacket
Started in 1991 in Osaka by a vintage shop manager who yearned for the denim of his youth, Evisu (originally Evis, a play on Levi's), is a go-to for Japanese denim.
You don't have to listen to us to know. Rapper T.I. in his 2009 track "ASAP" boasts "Seen on the scene, white tee and Evisu's / O.G. status, I don't beef unless I need to", and Jay-Z declared in his 2002 B-side "Show You How", "How you want it, my jeans is 300 / This ain't Diesel[...] these is Evisu".
This denim souvenir jacket's embroidery includes golden dragons on the arms, a roaring lion on the right upper-chest, and a large snarling tiger with "Kyôto Evisuchou" emblazoned in orange on the back. With a number like this, it's clear to us how Evisu became a mainstay of Osaka streetwear.SIZE + FIT
